Chili-dogs: The Kruski’s Way

I am in the middle of making some chili for a cook-off this monday at my office.  I felt like a hot dog for lunch while watching the some NFL Sunday Ticket.  I figure why fire up the grill, or boil some water, I could just use the chili itself as the medium for cooking.  And while I am at it I can steam / toast the buns on top of lid.

Basically I tossed two Hebrew National 1/4 # dogs into the chili and covered them in the beefy-spicey-goodness for about 7 minutes. I dusted them off a bit and put em on my bun.  These chili dogs turned out fantastic, but unfortunately they are not found to be part of a balanced and healthy diet.
