The officials have released the PDF list of shortlisted candidates for the 2023 Anambra State Teachers through their portal. Applicants who have applied for teaching positions in Anambra State can now check their names to see if they qualify for the next phase of the recruitment process.
It was previously mentioned that more than 40,000 individuals applied for teaching positions in both primary and secondary schools in Anambra State. Out of these, only 5,000 qualified applicants were shortlisted for the Computer Based Test (CBT) exam.
Additionally, the Governor has directed that all 31,000 listed applicants should be given the opportunity to participate in a preliminary CBT exam before shortlisting successful candidates for the second CBT exam.

Anambra State Teachers Shortlisted Candidates 2023 Update
To address the shortage of teachers in the classrooms, more than 5,000 teachers will be offered employment letters. However, only 6,000 out of the 31,000 applicants who took part in the online recruitment test for teachers in Anambra State were successful.
Shortly after taking office, Soludo issued an order to hire teachers for both elementary and secondary schools to improve the teacher-to-student ratio in the state. Following the most recent teachers’ Computer Based Test (CBT), 6,250 applicants have been selected for oral interviews for teaching positions across the state.
These interviews, according to the state’s information commissioner, Mr. Paul Nwosu, are scheduled to begin on July 27, 2022, and will last for two weeks. Out of the selected applicants, 3,250 will be deployed to primary schools and 3,000 to secondary institutions.
